About Portal

The Saudi eGovernment Portal is the central Saudi Arabian government portal through which not only citizens, residents, businesses and visitors but also other government organizations and businesses can access eGovernment services (eServices) online. This approach has been chosen as the best way to enable government services in an efficient manner. It also makes eServices accessible anytime from anywhere throughout the Internet. Broad eService accessibility is achieved by providing eServices via the portal either by integrating with other government agencies or through links to their websites.

"Saudi" publishes periodically a group of opinion polls to find out the views of its users in a number of issues related to the portal and generally e-government transactions in the Kingdom.

The e-Government National Portal has paid much attention to applying highest technical standards relating to portals which are much concentrated on enriching the Portal and raising accessibility to all its content. This as a result will lead to an increase in users of the Portal and their interaction.
Accordingly, the Portal’s Department has attempted to apply W3C standards in accordance with its compliance with WCAG 2.0 Standards relating to content accessibility.
In addition, the Portal has been complied with world wide web consortium with reference to usability and accessibility in addition to other technical standards that will contribute in improving the Portal. Saudi Portal is completely compatible with the browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox) in addition to other browsers.
Most prominent features applied on “Saudi” Portal includes its keen interest on the disabled users through applying a set of new features helping a great segment of the disabled to easily interact with the Portal.
The Portal’s Administration has innovated a new feature that enables its users to browse most pages of the Portal easily using the Keyboard. This makes it easier for users to browse the Portal. Below is a table that illustrates shortcut keys used to reach the pages that have the feature applied.
To expand scope of its users, all content published on Saudi portal has been translated into English so that non-Arab users who do not know Arabic can utilize all content and services published on the Portal.

The Portal’s Service Level Agreement “SLA”

This Service Level Agreement indicates the Terms and Conditions with which the National e-Government Portal “Saudi” will comply in offering its services to the Portal’s users. Such Terms and Conditions are envisioned to formulate a general framework through which services can be offered with high quality. The agreement terms come as follows:

“Saudi” Portal Commitments:

• This Agreement has been made between the “Saudi” Portal and its users including Citizens and residents, business sector and visitors to Saudi Arabia.

• The Portal’s Administration has committed to work hard for solving problems arisen by its visitors regarding registration and accessibility to all content published.

• The Portal’s Administration sticks to review the content regularly in addition to availing updated content both in Arabic and English whenever available.

• The Administration is committed to respond to all inquiries and utilizing fruitful suggestions posted by the Portal’s users.

• The Portal’s Administration is keen on availing all new events and updates in all its sections in addition to announcing such updates.

• The Administration is committed to avail all previous services in all times except vacations and maintenance times.

Portal’s Users Commitments:

• Accessing this portal is considered an agreement and approval of all terms and conditions relating to using the Portal with no need to announce any relevant updates on such terms.

• The Portal’s users are prohibited to access the Portal for the purpose of endangering it or any of its content.

• Users are keen on reporting the Portal’s Administration in case of any default, mistakes or problems arise during using the Portal.

• All such terms and standards are effective immediately when the user access the Portal.
